Stanley Beach Casino (1)

This is one of several postcards which show
the Stanley Beach dance casino. It was built in 1909 and destroyed by
fire in 1932. Looking at different postcards, the casino (it was not a
gambling casino in the modern-day sense of the word) seems to have been
rebuilt, or at least remodeled several times during this period. The
twin turrets were a distinctive feature and the small Ferris Wheel to
the east is shown in many of the views.
