Stanley Beach Casino (4)

One of many different postcards which exist of the Port Stanley
Casino which was eventually destroyed by fire in 1932. We have discussed
elsewhere hand colouring of black and white photographs which were used
as the basis of so many Port Stanley photographs. In this case the
colourist would seem to have had a lot of yellow in his paint box. The
message on the back of the postcard, signed “Lizzie” says, in part, “I
am crazy over Canada. Sure am enjoying myself.”
