Hillcrest Inn (3)

This is one of the many postcards we have of the Hillcrest Inn situated on the bluff east of the village. This photo was taken from the south, looking north. The caption on the postcard refers to this building as “Hook’s Hillcrest Inn”. The Hooks purchased the inn from long-time owners, Mr. & Mrs, Shipp in 1962. In October 1964 the building was gutted by fire and never reopened.
