Corner of William and George Streets

This photograph would have been taken from George Street, looking west.
The houses on the far left and the far right of the postcard are still standing today.
The one the left is situated on the south side of George Street (120 George Street).
It was built in 1903 by Walter Mitchell, who owned a hardware store on Colborne
Street, a lumber yard on the west side of the harbour, and Port Stanley’s
first electrical system. The date of the postmark on this card is
illegible, but the postage stamp on it was in use from 1912 to 1926.
