Christ Church (2)

This postcard shows Port Stanley’s Christ Church. More
information about this church, built in 1845, can be found with
other postcards of the building on this website. It is interesting to
note how much vacant land there was around the church in the early years
of the last century when this photo would have been taken. In those
days, Christ Church would have been on the northern outskirts of Port
Stanley. Perhaps it was situated there so that it could also serve the
thriving little town of Selborne, a little settlement which no longer
exists and is now one of Ontario’s “Ghost Towns”.
