Roller Coaster

Casino and Bathing Beach

There are many different postcards which show this building, and we will be including many of them on this web site.  The postcard shown here has a postmark of 1912.   “Jitney dancing” took place on the top floor of the building, which at one time was said to be the largest indoor dance floor in Canada.  Five cents entitled you to one dance.   Guy Lombardo played here, as well as at the L & PS Dance Pavilion.   Despite the name, the building was not a casino in the modern day sense of the word.
