Main Beach (1)

This is just one of the many postcards which we have of the main beach at
Port Stanley. The date is obscured, but it is obvious from the garb of
the bathers that this photograph was taken in the early years of the
last century. In this image a dock extending out into the lake allows vacationers to board a
small pleasure schooner which offered trips out on the lake. The position of the dock varied from year to year.
