Lover’s Leap (1)

In the late eighteen hundreds, the bluff above
Port Stanley’s main beach was the site of the Fraser House hotel, and
the area was known as Fraser Heights. Extending west from it was a path
leading to the bridge shown on this postcard. The bridge crossed a deep
ravine and the area was known as “Lover’s Leap”. There are many
different postcards which show this area. Three of the postcards use
this specific photograph. One of them bears a postmark of 1907.
