Hill Crest

This postcard depicts, in the foreground, the Liberty Hill Club and the weather observation tower on the bluff east of the village, an area known as Hillcrest.

We have another card using the same image which is dated August, 1909.

The Liberty Hill Club consisted of several summer cottages and a Clubhouse.  The club house contained a large dining hall, and two small private dining rooms for family parties, “managed by a first class steward”.
