Steamer Theodore Roosevelt Entering Port Stanley harbour

The steamer Theodore Roosevelt was launched in 1906 and was said at the time to be the fastest ship on the Great Lakes.

During the First World War she was pressed into service as a troop transport on the Atlantic.

Following the war, she was purchased by the Cleveland-Erieau Steamship Company, and operated on Lake Erie from 1920 to 1926.
